Every few months I get the urge to paint my apartment. And right now, I've got it baad. I have a charcoal grey feature wall in my living room but I'm thinking of going light dove grey on all the walls. All of the walls = lots of work. But I'm in love with the idea of light grey walls and a red persian rug under the coffee table. Currently looking for inspiration photos to convince myself to invest in some blue tape and go ahead with it. And the photos below are quite convincing.
This gorgeous apartment belongs to interior designer Ryan Korban. His Soho studio is pretty much my dream. Take note of his walls and rugs.

Love the contrast between his lovely, lightly hued walls and the sharper, richer hues of the rug. That's a fantastic combination. I wish I could paint the walls in my room. Unfortunately, I'm only renting; I guess I could probably just post some pretty post its on my wall to make it more interesting :)
