STREET STYLE:: DYE JOB

Whilst contemplating dipping a plaid shirt into a tub of black dye, I recalled I'd seen a similar diy job on stop it right now, except the opposite, with bleach. Have you guys been there yet? That girl is so real. Anyway, her lust for this shirt lead her to this diy. I kind of prefer her half bleached version. So, back to contemplating the dye.

Next time you're garage sale-ing slash carrying furniture home that you picked up off the street, consider this option. Painting all your mismatched stools, dining chairs, outdoor chairs, what have you all the same color can result in a very edgy dining table. 

On a sidenote I once passed an ornate Moroccan side table on the side of the road but thought "Cristina you are no longer in college, stop picking furniture up off the street, you now have a job" and 15min. later when I was still fantasizing about how amazing it would look as my bedside table I went back and it was gone. And I've never gotten over it.

STREET STYLE:: BEAD ME

Trend to try: you probably have elements and pieces of this trend already, beads! These cool ones below resemble friendship bracelets, which I may still have laying around somewhere from childhood, or better yet! I think I still have a kit to make my own. Ambitious I know, so if you have beaded bracelets, necklaces, anything really, just pile it on and you could look positively editorial.

INTERIORS:: COLOR + HOME

I'm swooning over the use of color in this apartment. It's immediately obvious from the first photo that the use of color is integral to the look of this interior. But beyond the bright accents, I feel color is used effectively to dictate the different purposes of each room. Fun bright colors in the entertaining areas of the kitchen and living room; and soothing neutrals in the bedroom and bath.

RUNWAY:: STELLA MCCARTNEY RESORT 2011

I couldn't resist. So here's some more Stella. I'm in love with the flower prints on top of landscapes, but the cuts and colors of the of the more structured pieces are just delicious. Must find a vintage silk dress and a talented artist to paint landscapes and flowers all over it. Not-so-simple DIY.

LOOKBOOK:: WILDFOX FOR KIDS

Another children's lookbook. But this one is a completely different take. This feels more like a ridiculously cool little girl playing dress up with Tallulah Morton. I think the photos and poses are super fun, however I feel Wildfox needs to tread with caution because a few of their photos (not pictured) have a tendency to be slightly sexualized. Dangerous territory for a children's lookbook if you ask me. But like I said, mostly fun and playful! I mostly dig it!
