INTERIORS:: Jessica Stam's Apartment

In the entryway, Stam installed a black-and-white tableau she found from the 1960s and a wall of mirrors. To dress it up, she fills silver vases with white roses. Stam says it’s the last mirror she checks before she leaves the house; she often curls her eyelashes here before heading off to a shoot.

The previous owner (a decorator from the Mandarin Oriental hotel) left these hand-carved Moroccan sliding doors that lead into Stam’s bedroom. The model hung a Native American dream catcher over the door when she moved in almost three years ago.

These minty colors are fast becoming a fav of mine, from Kate Bosworth's red carpet look to Jessica Stam's New York apartment, everything it touches just looks so sublimely fresh.
I feel mint would be the perfect color for a bathroom, as it would always look clean... but I just spent 2 hours cleaning my bathroom including everything from my toothbrush holder right down to the grout, so I've got a minty fresh bathroom on my mind!

Their lookbook has reminded me just how amazing Shakuhachi is, and it's about time I wear my clothes!

Isn't this the perfect summer dress? And winter dress too if you add a big chunky sweater and some slouchy flat boots (see post below for the exact pair of slouchy boots I have in mind)

Great denim shirt (cut along the bottom) and the perfect slouchy boots.

Shockingly I don't actually own a denim shirt or slouchy boots yet. I mean yes I have an embarrassing amount of black boots, but none to quite this degree of slouchiness. Add 'em to the shopping list.

Let's start with the dreamy PS1, which has been on my wishlist (even just in mini pouchette form) for so long it's not even funny. I'd just like to take the opportunity to remind anyone out there who may care - I'm still pining for a PS1!!

A grey fur coat and white column dress and hinged armor ring would all be nice additions to my closet as well, but that bag is my main priority right now. K bye.

EDITORIAL:: More Orange + Brights

I wore a blood orange top to work today, and with the way this Monday is going (seeing as it's already 1AM) I might be reaching for the bright colors again tomorrow - I'll be needing the energy boost! 

The first look by Jil Sander is brilliantly fresh, and do we all remember Kate Bosworth's standout moment in mint? Who could forget it. Possibly my fav red carpet moment of the year.

Unfortunately this weekend there was no respite from the craziness.

It's Sunday night and I have not caught up on sleep or started the looong list of to-do's I had planned for the weekend (top of the list: putting away the pile of clothes that is taking over my room apartment). My solution? To put on the most vibrant and energy-inducing color I can think of, orange. And if I had the luxury of owning a pile of Hermes boxes (and the scarves to go with), I would place them in a pretty little tower in my living room for a shot of color to the space.

How stunning is Kate in that Calvin Klein shift? I placed an order for 2 pairs of earrings from her jewelmint line, so looking forward to having an ounce of KateBosworthcool. Here's to orange, Kate, Hermes, and jewelmint!

This week has been jam-packed with new and exciting things - a new job, an anniversary, new opportunities, a surprise Michael Buble concert last night!! - just to name a few, so I am soo looking forward to a much-needed rest. Preferably in a beautiful plush bedroom like this one!
