I'LL HAVE WHAT SHE'S HAVING:: Elena Perminova

This pink Maison Michel hat has been my favorite street style moment of the year.
Well done Elena Perminova. Her style is smashing, but I have a hunch it has something to do with her bff Miroslava Duma!

MOODBOARD:: Citrus + Freja

This collage (created by Fashionchalet) is bangin! I don't think I'll ever grow tired of that Jil Sander collection.. or citrus brights.

INTERIORS:: Rockstar + Designer

Love the orange accents

I suppose a handsome rockstar and a Brazilian designer are bound to have a killer pad. They met in college at Brown and RISD (just like Seth and Summer! - sorry I've been watching OC re-runs)

"After graduating, their fates take them to New York where he writes numerous songs about her (all of which, I confess, I know by heart), and both live happily ever after. Until, that is, they break up. But, as the screenplay (and eager audience) demands, they meet again in Rome and fall back in love. "

Clearly, next they acquired a sweet art collection and combined their design sensibilities to create this styling home. Le sigh...

EDITORIAL:: Giveaway + Nylon

First of all Congratulations to the winner of the CSN Giveaway:
Erika @ small shop!

I'm actually jealous to be giving it away because there are so many cute things that I wanted, but alas, congrats Erika! You'll be receiving the gift certificate via email soon.

Second, I'm so into this Nylon editorial with Kate Bosworth. It's jam-packed with lotsa Missoni, braids, Jewelmint accessories, and those mismatched green/blue eyes. Have you guys signed up for Jewelmint yet? I bought two pieces already (50% off!). The day I received them I tore open the package and have been wearing them nonstop ever since. I have been on a sort of earring ban ever since the chandelier earring craze of the early 2000's - just got overwhelmed by all of that chandeliering. But I've decided to let earrings back into my life, and I started with Jewelmint! I'd love to know which of the pieces you guys have picked up.

INTERIORS:: Future bathroom

Sometimes I'm tempted to be a selfish little blogger and keep my ideas to myself. What! Is that so terrible?! It's like when Charlotte's friend stole her baby name! That's how I feel about my future house ideas. Except house decor is not mutually exclusive, and ultimately I prefer to share with you guys anyway. So here it is, a bathroom in my future house is going to feature a colorful framed butterfly collection all over the walls. There, it's out, and if you execute this in your home I want to see pics!

FUJI FILES FAVORITE:: Erin + Phi

Erin Wasson in her killer Phi booties. Why oh why did Phi have to close? Their creations were some of my favorites, yet they were one of the many businesses that didn't survive 2009. One can only hope for a timely resurrection, and with fans like Erin Wasson and Carine Roitfeld, I like to think there's still a chance.

STREET STYLE:: Hanneli + Spring

Perfection!

Hanneli in the most supremely perfect spring ensemble I think I've ever seen.
Can you honestly think of a lovelier spring look to top this? Floral A-line coat, fresh bright purse (plus mini MiuMiu bag!) and the most perfect blue suede shoes. All this, and she's wearing socks from CVS! (For any non-Americans, that's a chain pharmacy/chemist)
Hanneli says "The socks are from CVS/Pharmacy, and I wear them with everything—they work so well with these blue Office shoes that I just bought while in London for the Acne show. Plus, they’re great for lounging around the house, as they’re a little loose and a thick."
Sigh, what a down-to-earth style icon.

MOODBOARD:: Neon Beach

Summer is officially over in Sydney. Booooooo!
But I'm not letting go, not yet. Even if it means wearing neon colored pants, sweaters, and overcoats. Which, luckily for me, is in style this season! Leave it up to Anna Dello Russo to rock some neon fur.
Are all you Northern Hemispherans excited for spring!? Jealous!

P.S. Don't forget about the Giveaway!

I'LL HAVE WHAT SHE'S HAVING:: Christine Centenera

It's like she found my fashion fantasy wishlist and then bought everything on it.
And then styled it all impeccably in that "I threw this together in 5 minutes way" that I haven't quite mastered yet. Has anyone else seen her on Australia's Next Top Model? She's so fierce.
Plus, we have the same initials and practically the same name. Soulmates!!

INTERIORS:: Rue + Velvet

Rue Issue 4 is out and now I feel like re-decorating my entire place and throwing a quirky dinner party.
Anyone else?

At the very least, I'm in desperate need of a velvet sofa. Oooh how luxurious would it feel to lounge on? It would make watching TV feel like a royal experience.
And a Louis Vuitton trunk coffee table would feel pretty luxe too.

Add 'em to the wishlist!

SPRING WISHLIST:: go green

I've just come to the realization that I don't have enough green bottoms in my wardrobe - or any! Obviously the formula is:

white top
green bottom
brown shoes
= style

You can play around with it, white fur/collared shirt/tee with green palazzo pants/maxi/pencil skirt.
But stick to the formula and you can't go wrong!

DIY FILES:: Friends Forever

I've fallen hard for Frieda and Nellie's friendship bracelets, hand knotted bracelets interwoven with their grandmother's vintage jewelry collection. An excellent opportunity to introduce some brights into my stack of arm adornments. And one huge road block, well about 200 of them - dollars.

Back to the drawing board. And time to pull out the old friendship bracelet making kit from the book fair (anyone else have this one?!) I'm pretty sure I've seen crystal bracelets at Forever21.
Get to knot-tying with your favorite colored yarns, weave the two together, make another one and sell it to me at a discounted price!!

ACCESSORIES:: Need

Clearly I need some green nail polish (perfect for St Paddy's day!)
Secondly, I dislike most engagement rings (what's wrong with me?) but that diamond ring on the right I'm finding very attractive.
Maybe it's the unusual shape, or the tiny-ness of the band? But it is fiiine.

I also have a mild obsession with scarabs/beetles so I'm pretty into bracelet on the left.
Ok I love every piece of accessory in this photo.
The end.

Wondering where you can find an Eames lounge chair like the one in this living room?

And in fact, so many of the chairs, lighting, and accents in the fabulous rooms I post every day?
Stay tuned to find out.

READY TO WEAR ROOMS

Hi guys, this was an idea I was working on for a coco+kelley series that I didn't go ahead with, figured I might as well share it with you! Let me know if this is something you'd like to see more of on Fuji Files!

This bold kitchen from Adore Magazine was the perfect inspiration for a ready to wear room.

The turquoise cabinets gave me a mod 60’s vibe so I started the look with a brilliant blue shift dress. The shiny black table, vase, and pendant light are all modern classics which inspired the sexy black heels. Add some candy-colored accessories and an angular white clutch, and you’ve got a modern look that’s packed with personality.

RUNWAY:: Fendi Backstage

I can't decide what I like more, runway photos or backstage photos.
The models always look more beautiful in their candid shots, I think.
I'm quite sure I haven't worn hot pink Barbie lipstick since I was 7...
maybe it's time to try again!

RUNWAY:: Fine China + McQueen

It's no secret Sarah Burton has some pretty major shoes (lobster shoes) to fill at Alexander McQueen. But she's certainly won my heart with the following two dresses.
The bodices were constructed with broken bits of China.
Exquisite.
I imagine this dress would be excruciatingly heavy to wear.

I bet Jane from Sea of Shoes could rock some porcelain shoes pretty hard.
And I'm already wondering how John Jannuzzi of Textbook will use these dresses!
(If you've never read Textbook, go. now. It's my favorite).

DIY anyone?

RUNWAY & INTERIOR:: Color-Blocking

For those of you who thought color-blocking only occurred within your closet.

Here's how to color-block on your closet.
Paint the doors all different colors for a truly inspiring space.
(This trick would work wonders on a cheap plain Ikea wardrobe,
nothing some sanding and painting can't fix!)

Also a great way to bring big color into a rental apartment or home.

INTERIORS:: Shoe Closet

Another dream shoe closet, I like how it's hidden by a curtain right in the living room!
My shoes are actually stored in a closet in my living room, though nowhere near as glam as this.
One day!

STREET STYLE:: Kate's Hair

Every time I see Kate Lanphear, I get the urge to chop all my hair off (and possibly dye it white blonde).
But I feel like I'd have to dress extra fierce to pull it off, I mean Kate-Lanphear-fierce. Lanfierce. heh..heh.
Hope you're all having a fierce week!
